Two individuals in possession of a drone were apprehended in Manouba. The owner of the drone posted a notice on Facebook to sell it for 1,400 dinars, which permitted security units to identify it and a trap was set to arrest it with the buyer.
After consultation with the public prosecutor, a judicial inquiry was ordered to be opened on suspicion of possession of goods from an unknown source.
As a reminder, the use of drones is banned in Tunisia. To use them, authorization is needed from the competent authorities. The prior authorization regime requires the preparation of a file in four copies to obtain the permit.
