Tunisia – Manouba: Nurse stealing medicines from hospital arrested

The Manouba prosecutor’s office ordered the arrest of a nurse, living in Manouba, for suspicion of stealing medicines from the hospital where he worked.

The case began when the police arrested him for a check and found that he was carrying an enormous amount of medication in the trunk of his car. He argued to have bought them in a pharmacy, but could not present any proof.

He was, then accompanied to an infirmary which he kept illegally in Douar Hicher, where the agents discovered other medicines, dressings and other medical supplies.

The prosecution ordered his arrest and an inquiry to determine the origin of the products seized.
