Tunisia-Masoud Grira : “Decree 54, like any human action, may include some errors” [Video]

Speaking to Tunisie Numérique, MP of the Sovereign National Line bloc Masoud Grira noted that Decree 54 possesses many positive aspects, but that like every humanitarian act, it can include some errors, particularly Chapter 24.

Grira underscored the significance of revising certain sections without undermining the decree’s valuable components, particularly those that protect individuals against defamation and insults.

Our speaker stressed the role of Parliament in evaluating and potentially revising Chapter 24 of Decree 54 to align with the broader interests of Tunisians. He advocated for a consensus among various parties concerning the need for such amendments, stressing the collective responsibility to guarantee that the decree serves the public good effectively and equitably.
