Tunisia-Medenine- Illegal migration: 8 bodies retrieved

The sailors of Zarzis and Djerba retrieved 8 bodies during the search operations launched on Wednesday, October 5 in search with whom all contact had been lost since their departure in an illegal crossing to the Italian coast for more than two weeks. These 8 remains could not be identified and they are in the process of genetic examinations.

It should be recollected that a boat of illegal migrants left the  Zarzis coast in the night between September 21 and 22, 2022 with 17 people on board most of which are children aged 16 to 18 years old, a baby and two women, With whom all contact had been lost, only half an hour after their departure.
