Tunisia-Mehdi Ben Gharbia’s imprisonment period has expired, according to his attorneys

Mehdi Ben Gharbia’s defence committee condemned the imprisonment of the latter while considering that it is illegal detention. In a press release, it clarified that the investigating judge denied to release him according to the provisions of article 85 of the journal of the criminal proceedings, adding that the period of preventive detention (180 days) has expired (…).
 
The committee pointed out that the duration of his arrest was expanded by the Indictment Chamber, by referring his file to the investigating judge three times.
