Speaking to Tunisie Numérique, the Regional Delegate for Education in Kairouan denounced the burning of the national flag at “El Houda” school in the centre of the governorate, specifying that an inquiry has been launched to identify the perpetrators of this crime.
The Secretary-General of the Regional Labor Union in Kairouan, Saied Sboui defined the incident as a criminal act, stating that it reminds us of the criminal act that happened at the Faculty of literature of Manouba where Salafist students removed the national flag. The speaker underlined in the same context the necessity to reform the education system while recalling the instructive role of public schools in Tunisia.
