Tunisia – Ministry of Interior announces thecapture of second terrorist in Kasserine mountains

The Ministry of the Interior reported that, following the information obtained on, Wednesday, two terrorist suspects were spotted in the evening in the region of ‘Ain Al-Gharam’, in the heart of ‘Seif Mountain’ in the governorate of Kasserine. A collective security team was formed, consisting of agents from the regional counter-terrorism department in Kasserine of the General Directorate of Special Services of National Security and the orientation brigade of the National Guard. They searched the area and, after setting up a precise ambush, successfully captured the terrorist suspect known as ‘Saifeddine Zbiba’The ministry explained in a press release that the search is still ongoing and that efforts are being made to arrest his companion.

As a reminder, the Ministry of the Interior had reported, earlier in the day, the capture of the “emir” of the terrorist group “Ajned Al Khilefa”, Mahmoud Sellami, alias “Youssef”.

The latter was apprehended during an ambush on one of the paths leading to the shelters in which terrorist elements were holed up in the Kasserine mountains.

Automatic weapons, explosives and booby-trapped belts have, on occasion, been seized.

Mahmoud Sellami had partaken in terrorist attacks which targeted security and military units as well as in the burglary of certain houses in Kasserine.
