Tunisia-Ministry of Interior: Arrest of a foreign terrorist element

The Ministry of the Interior revealed that the anti-terrorist brigade, as well as the special units of the national guard, succeeded under the overseeing of the public prosecutor’s office at the counter-terrorist judicial pole to apprehend a foreign terrorist element following a joint proactive operation.

The detainee swore allegiance to the terrorist organization “Daesh” and was about to leave the country to enter terrorist elements in one of the neighbouring nations or to find the “Ajnad Al Khilafa” battalion in coordination with other Syrian terrorist elements, according to the same statement.

After consultation with the public prosecutor’s office at the anti-terrorist judicial pole, an inquiry was opened to this effect and an arrest warrant was issued for him.
