Tunisia-Moez Hadidane: Prices in tearooms and hotels will be increased

Economic expert Moez Hadidane stated, this Tuesday, November 14, 2023, that prices in tea rooms, restaurants and inns will increase, due to the taxes set in place in the 2024 finance law.

Hadidane told Mosaïque fm that the banking sector will also be under strong fiscal pressure, but that everyone will have to make sacrifices due to the hard economic situation the country is experiencing, according to his estimation.

“He who earns more pays more (…) The finance law literally stipulates that the money paid by the State to subsidize milk will be mathematically recovered from the cheese.”
