Tunisia – Mohamed Hamdi to Ennahdha: PM Fakhfakh will not step down!

Minister of education, Mohamed Hamdi, confirmed that the strains between the ruling coalitions had no effects on the functioning of the government which continues to work in a co-operative manner.

He added that some parties desired to take advantage of the conflict of interest file concerning the prim minister to utilise it as a means of blackmail, clarifying that the current economic and financial situation does not allow creating a vacuum at the head of the executive and let the country drift into the unknown.

Hamdi questioned what Ennahdha wanted by demanding Fakhfakh’s resignation, informing them that Fakhfakh will not resign and that they should let the commissions of inquiry do their job with confidence.
