Tunisia-Mohamed Tlili Mansri: Launch of a new system to detect electoral offenses

Mohamed Tlili Mansri, the spokesperson for the ISIE, reported that the Independent High Authority for Elections (ISIE) has set up a new internal system to identify violations related to electoral crimes and submit them to the body’s council instantly, before receiving the written report on paper.

Mansri clarified that this will permit the central body to decide, later, whether or not to refer the PV in question to the public prosecutor, he added.

In a statement to TAP, on the sidelines of a study day on electoral crimes and the role of the public prosecutor organized, Thursday, by the ISIE, in the presence of representatives of the public prosecutor and the judicial police of Sousse, Monastir, Mahdia, Kairouan and Siliana, Mansri revealed that this new system seeks to unify efforts and organize work between regional authorities before contacting the public prosecutor.
