The governorate of Monastir reported six new deaths from COVID-19 in one single day. Speaking to Shems FM, Jemmal delegate Abdul Razak Kheder confirmed two deaths, hence taking the death tally in Jemmal to five . The same source said the first fatality is a 62-year-old man from Bir Etayeb while the second is a 65-year-old man from Tyaira.
On his part,Bani Hassan mayor announced the death of 64 retired military at the regional hospital in Jemmal, indicating that he caught the virus at Fatouma Bourguiba.
On the other hand, The fourth death was registered after a 52-year-old woman died in the intensive care unit at Fatouma Bourguiba hospital, Manzel Nour Mayor Sami Haj announced, indicating that she suffers from kidney failure.
Furthermore,Ksar Helal mayor Lazher Gebsi affirmed the death of 44-year-old Anesthesiology and Reanimation Doctor, he resided at the intensive care unit at Fatouma Bourguiba university hospital after his health deteriorated.
Finally, the last death was reported in Moknine.
