Member provisional body of the unified Democratic Patriots party Mongi Rahoui revealed that Al Watad will partake in the next legislative elections.
Rahoui told the radio, that his party is not seen as an alternative to the current system and that his priority is to unite the Tunisian left.
“Today we have Al Watad who is represented by its general secretariat and another who emanates its legitimacy from the activism of its activists (…) The current management is no longer legitimate because Congress should have occurred for two years. They employed the health crisis as a pretext to extend their mandate, ”he said.
