Tunisia- More than 185 individuals detained after trying to illegally cross sea borders

More than 185 people, including Sub-Saharan Africans, were detained, by National Guard units after trying to illegally cross sea borders, the Interior Ministry announced in a statement.

“In total, 17 operations of attempted irregular emigration to European coasts have been prevented. Makeshift boats have been seized,” the same statement said.

Consulted on this subject, the Public Prosecutor’s Office decreed that the required measures be taken against them.
