The number of victims of road accidents registered increased in Tunisia from January 1 to October 24, 2023. This increase is 18.26% compared to the same period of the prior year. Statistics from the National Road Safety Observatory record 965 deaths on Tunisian roads.
Nevertheless, the number of wounded recorded a decline of 7.43% compared to the same period of 2022: 6,326 injured compared to 6,834 injured were recorded during this period. Similarly, road accidents fell by 3.58% to 4,527 accidents compared to 4,695 accidents during this same period.
