The civil protection units of Nabeul continue their efforts to extinguish the fire which broke out in the Oued Khebir forest located in the locality of Gharardia under the delegation of Béni Khiar.
In a statement to TAP news agency, regional civil protection director Mourad Mechri stated the causes of the fire are still unknown.
Seven fire trucks were made available to civil protection units, including trucks from Sousse Zaghouan and Tunis, the same source indicated, noting that 3 trucks and 4 tractors under the direction of forests were likewise deployed as reinforcements.
