Tunisia-Nabil Ammar participates in 19th Summit of Non-Aligned Movement

On the instructions of Kais Saïed, President of the Republic, Nabil Ammar, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad, will lead the Tunisian delegation partaking in the work of the 19th Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement and the 3rd ” Southern Summit”, of the Group of 77 plus China, which will take place in Kampala (Uganda), from January 19 to 22, 2024.

According to the press release by the Foreign Ministry, the Non-Aligned Summit will focus on “intensifying cooperation for shared global wealth”, while the 3rd South Summit will be held under the theme “Leaving no one behind”. The two summits constitute an appropriate framework to join efforts in tackling the common global challenges facing the countries of the South, exchange on solutions to achieve sustainable development for all and develop a new vision to strengthen multilateralism, cooperation and international solidarity.

Discussing ways to intensify international pressure in order to immediately put an end to the brutal aggression against the invincible Palestinian people is at the top of the priorities of Tunisian participation in these two summits, in addition to strengthening South-South cooperation and unifying efforts to reform the international financial system.
On this occasion, the Minister will meet several of his counterparts to strengthen political consultation, boost bilateral cooperation and build more partnerships, particularly at the continental level.
