Tunisia-Nabil Karoui: Kais Saied is a figure who rejects dialogue

In a special interview with Al Araby TV, Qalb Tounes president Nabil Karoui said that the President of the Republic, Kais Saied, is a figure who rejects dialogue with all parties.

The head of the state has a preconceived notion of political parties and is not yet aware that Tunisia has a parliamentary system, Karoui said, adding that he has to negotiate with party leaders instead of continually rejecting and ignoring party correspondence.

The same source stressed that the president ran for the elections as a kind of adventure, particularly since he did not possess a political belt to support him, nor an economic, social and political program.

He pointed out that he did not compete fairly as Karoui was in prison at that time.
