Tunisia- Nabil Karoui: The HAICA is illegal

In a special interview with Al Araby TV, Qalb Tounes president Nabil Karoui said that the High Independent Broadcasting Authority (HAICA) is illegal, given that it has surpassed constitutional deadlines.
HAICA members receive their salary in addition to many other privileges illegally and proceed to implement their political agendas by inflicting sanctions on a number of media outlets, he stated.

“HAICA has targeted the media by interfering with the content of their programs instead of demanding a change,” according to Karoui.
