On the sidelines of a press conference held today in Kasbah, government spokesperson Nasreddine Nsibi reported that several measures have been taken to ensure farmers’ rights and rescue the 2022 harvest season.The official declared that it was decided to raise the purchase price of cereals from farmers.According to him, the purchase of durum wheat will increase from 100 DT to 130 DT/quintal, i.e. an increase of 30%, and that of durum wheat will grow from 80 DT to 100 DT/quintal, i.e. an increase of more than 25%.Nsibi added that the price of barley and triticale will increase from 69 DT to 80 DT/quintal, an increase of more than 16%.
