Established thanks to a Chinese donation, the new University Hospital Center (CHU) of Sfax, which cost approximately 200 million dinars, was inaugurated this Thursday, December 10, 2020, by the President of the Republic, Kais Saied.
The Head of State headed to Sfax, accompanied by the Minister of Health, Faouzi Mehdi, the Minister of National Defense Brahim Bartagi, the Chinese Ambassador to Tunisia, Mr Zhang Jianguo, the Director-General of military health, Dr Mustafa Ferjani, as well as several senior national and regional officials.
The inauguration was accompanied by a guided tour of this new hospital centre, part of which will be reserved for the treatment of patients with Covid-19 under the supervision of the Ministry of National Defense.
Yesterday, a ceremony was held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Health, on this occasion where the Minister of Health, Faouzi Mahdi, and the Chinese Ambassador to Tunisia, Zhang Jiangi signed the reception report- delivery of the new University Hospital Center (CHU) of Sfax.
