55 workers in the health sector tested positive for coronavirus, Said Director of the National Observatory for New and Emerging Diseases Nissaf Ben Alaya at the Committee of Health and Social Affairs. Two of the infected contracted the virus in hospitals while the rest from their families,she added.
The horizontal transmission occurred at the beginning in families and currently is spreading, affirmed Alaya, stressing that 1630people are residing in accommodation centres while 44 didn’t comply with self-isolation which required extending the period of isolation by two weeks.
In the same context, she firmly denied that the health ministry procedures have any links to the emerge of infection loops. She attributed the matter to non-compliance with measures.
