Tunisia-Nissaf Ben Alaya asks approximately 700 participants of the UGTT-National Council to respect self-isolation

Director-General of the National Observatory of New and Emerging Diseases Nissaf Ben Alaya asked some 700 participants in the works of the National Council of the Tunisian General Labor Union (UGTT), held in Hammamet from August 24 to 26, to respect self-isolation.
This request comes after reporting a confirmed case of contamination in a participant in the governorate of Ben Arous.
Speaking to the TAP,Ben Alaya said that a record was drawn up carrying the names of people who were in contact with the infected case, specifically about 25 people.
As Thursday, tests will be carried out for the benefit of those who favoured staying at the hotel, where the work of the council was organised, for a better assessment of the general situation, added Ben Alaya.
The regional health directorates have also been alerted to begin the necessary measures regarding the status of participants who have already left the hotel to their homes, said Nissaf Ben Alaya.
At the same time, she was anxious to reassure the participants, since, she justified, the health protocol has been applied including the imperative to wear the mask and the use of disinfectant gel.
Ben Alaya reiterated her call for self-isolation for 14 days, the incubation period of the virus, even if the tests were negative.
