Tunisia-Nissaf Ben Alaya : Indifference and laxity during lockdown threaten to blow up positive signs achieved in fighting COVID-19

Director of the National Observatory for New and Emerging Diseases Nissaf Ben Alaya severely warned of the consequences of the state of disorder and chaos which has emerged in the fourth day of the targeted lockdown in not implementing safety measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

She reflected that directions foreshadow an enhanced risk of transmission of the virus in the community, emphasising that the risks of transmission are still present, given the probability that one case may infect many in places of gathering.

Indifference and laxity during lockdown threaten to blow up positive signs achieved in fighting COVID-19, she said in a statement to the TAP agency.

She pointed out that the current situation requires caution and not going out to the street without a valid reason.
