In a statement granted to Al Jazeera TV, the UGTT secretary-general Noureddine Tabboubi, called for amending the electoral law as soon as possible with a view to organizing early legislative elections, adding that Tunisia needs to learn from the errors that have been committed over the past 10 years and even before 2011.
Reacting to statements by Maher Madhioub according to which Kais Saied would have called Tabboubi in response to the demonstration which took place yesterday in Bardo, the trade unionist revealed that it was he who had called the President of the Republic, to address the planned meeting for this Monday between the government and members of the executive board of the UGTT.
