A high-level delegation led by the deputy secretary general of the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF) has been on a visit to Djerba (governorate of Medenine) since Wednesday to follow up on the preparations for the summit which will take place on November 19 and 20, 2022.
The delegation examined the development of several spaces including the French-speaking village and the theatre which will house different workshops, sai Houmet Souk’s mayor Houcine Jrad, remarking that positive echoes are collected from the members of the delegation, regarding the preparations in progress.
Djerba will house, on November 19 and 29, 2002, the 18th session of the Francophonie summit, which coincides with the celebration of the fiftieth anniversary of the Organization of La Francophonie (OIF).
The event will see the participation of several heads of state and government, ministers, businessmen and representatives of civil society and media.
