Tunisia-Omicron: Rafik Boujdaria calls for more vigilance

The Chief of the emergency department of the Abderrahmane Mami Hospital Rafik Boujdaria has pointed out that the likelihood of the detection of the new variant of Covid-19 “Omicron” in Tunisia cannot be ruled out. He, accordingly, called for more vigilance necessitating the wearing of a mask and respect for barrier rules.
Boujdaria raised the possibility of returning to group or distance education in case the health situation has worsened. He likewise called for intensifying the use of PCR tests and tightening restrictions at border crossings.
