The Chamber at the Court of First Instance of Tunis condemned former MP, Rached Khiari, to one year in jail with immediate effect, and to two years in prison with immediate effect against an ousted security unionist.
As a reminder, the investigating judge at the court of first Instance of Tunis had issued two arrest warrants against Khiari and the dismissed trade unionist, for accusations related to the attempt to help a person evade the control of a public authority and the exploitation of a person who has real or imagined links with a public official.
The file involves the period during which Rached Khiari was on the run following the issue of search warrants against him.
