Tunisia-Opening borders will not involve all countries, says Tourism Ministry

Tunisia will open its sea, land and air borders on June 27,as the government said alsoit will allow movement between cities again from Thursday. Commenting on this Tourism Minister Mohamed Ali Toum said that opening the borders will not involve all countries.

In a statement to Mosaïque FM, he expressed that the state has to spend around 16 million dinars on repatriating stranded Tunisians abroad, adding that the state can no longer bring them back for free.

The majority of Tunisians who wish to return to the country are foreign residents who wish to spend holidays, he said.

Those who cannot afford accommodation costs in hotels for Quarantine can contact Tunisian consulates abroad, Toumi said.
