The Tunisian Organization of Young Doctors (OTJM) called on all internal doctors and residents assigned to the COVID units at Hedi Chaker hospital in Sfax to hall all work, starting on Monday 07 December 2020. The Union called to secure only operations in the emergency department of Habib Bourguiba Hospital and the Emergency Medical Aid Department 04.
In an issued statement, the union announced that the strike will continue until authorities remove the huge volumes of waste that have drowned the place, making work impossible and dangerous for the sick agents.
They explained that work will resume normally once the waste is disposed of.
