Hakam Balawi, Palestine former ambassador to Tunisia and former member of the Central Committee of Fatah Movement, passed away today at the age of 82.
In the 1980s, Mr Balawi served as Deputy Representative of the Palestine Liberation Organization in Libya. By the time the leadership of the PLO travelled to the Tunisian capital following its departure from Lebanon, Balawi moved to Tunisia where he commenced his work as the PLO’s Representative.
