Tunisia-Parliament: Adoption of budget of Ministry of Tourism

Parliament granted approval on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, for the budget of the Ministry of Tourism and Crafts for the 2024 financial year, with 130 votes in favour, 9 abstentions, and 5 votes against.

It is noteworthy that the tourism sector constitutes 9% of the GDP, supporting approximately 400,000 direct and indirect jobs. Additionally, the crafts industry accounts for around 4% of the GDP, employing nearly 300,000 artisans, and generating revenues estimated at 149 million dinars through direct expo
