Tunisia – Pfizer will be authorized tomorrow for children and under 18

The member of the national commission for the fight against COVID Riadh Daghfous declared this Tuesday that Pfizer’s vaccine will receive, from tomorrow, the required authorizations for its administration to age groups of 12 at 18 years old.

He confirmed that throughout the world, this vaccine, as well as  Moderna, and Sinovac, have obtained the authorizations for their administration in children, however, Tunisia will be content to approve Pfizer, because a large number of studies have been conducted around the world to confirm its safety in this age group.

Daghfous added that after the authorizations, the committee will examine the availability of doses of this vaccine, before starting the vaccination of young people, adding that this campaign will start with children with chronic diseases.
