Tunisia-Pharmacists call for rapid tests to be provided

Like diabetes screening tests, rapid coronavirus tests should be offered in private pharmacies, SPOT announced.

The vice-president of the union of dispensing pharmacists of Tunisia (SPOT), Naoufel Amira, asked for the need to present rapid tests in Tunisian pharmacies, particularly since they are approved in different countries with a strong spread of the coronavirus.

He explained that the presence of these tests in pharmacies will reassure citizens who suspect themselves to be infected with the coronavirus and ensure the normal functioning of the economic and social wheel through a rapid and early investigation into the virus.

Amira confirmed that these tests have proven to be efficient in different countries, such as France, which has set the price for the test between 5 and 10 euros.
