Prime minister Hichem Mechichi will be in Geneva from tomorrow, Tuesday, June 8, 2021, for a two-day visit to start discussions with the Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO) Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.
The purpose of this visit is to accelerate the process of obtaining Covid-19 vaccines as part of the Covax program which is to give 4.5 million doses of vaccines to Tunisia while only 250 thousand doses of the Pfizer vaccine and approximately 250,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine have been received.
Hichem Mechichi is expected to head a government delegation on the occasion of the visit, during which he is additionally expected to meet the Director-General of the International Labor Organization, Guy Ryder.
