Tunisia-PM Mechichi: Out of question to impose a general lockdown

Speaking to the media, prime minister Hichem Mechichi affirmed that there is no question of imposing a new general lockdown, given the severe social and economic situation facing the country.

He emphasised upholding the health protocol, barrier gestures and social distancing and called on citizens to join the Evax platform to be vaccinated.

He additionally stressed that the national commission for the fight against the coronavirus will meet tomorrow, April 7, to declare new measures that take into account the health and the social and economic situation of the citizen.
