Tunisia: Rached Ghannouchi effectively stopped escort officers from entering parliament

MP Fayçal Tebbini today published on his official page a document approved on April 2, 2021, by house speaker Rached Ghannouchi confirming that the latter prevented the escort agents who accompany certain MPs from entering the palace of the Bardo.

According to this document, Rached Ghannouchi banned the agents from accessing  “the interior spaces” of Bardo Palace, who were asked to wait in a room which is located in the exterior space of the parliament headquarters.

Recall that the second deputy Speaker of The House of People’s Representatives “HPR” Tarak Ftiti had dismissed during the plenary on April 6 the taking of such a decision
