Prime Minister Hichem Mechichi, on Tuesday, obtained an invitation to visit France from his French counterpart.
The invitation was presented during a meeting, which gathered Mechichi with the new French ambassador in Tunis André Parant at Kasbah Palace. Parant the common will to strengthen bilateral cooperation and expand its areas says a statement by the Prime Ministry.
For him, the creation, in November 2019, of the Franco-Tunisian University for Africa and the Mediterranean (UFTAM) displays the depth of France-Tunisia relationships, not simply economically but also culturally. Mechichi accented Tunisia’s eagerness to resolve the obstacles currently facing some French investors in the context of an economic crisis provoked by the coronavirus pandemic. “France is a strategic partner for Tunisia,” Mechichi spoke, reaffirming Tunisia’s solidarity with France following the recent terrorist attacks that shook the country.
