An IMF source reported that the visit of its delegation to Tunisia planned for December 5 to 17 was delayed at the request of the Tunisian authorities, the TAP reported.
According to the same source, the IMF stays ready to carry out annual consultations under Article IV, the purpose of which is to examine Tunisia’s economic performance.
“This postponement was likewise confirmed by a BCT source who revealed to the TAP agency that the Tunisian authorities and the IMF have agreed to postpone the visit to a later date which will be fixed in consultation between the two parties” indicates the national press agency.
