The president of the Tunisian Football Federation (FTF), Wadii Jary, is scheduled to appear before the investigating judge of the Court of First Instance of Tunis today for questioning related to suspicions of embezzlement of funds. Wadii Jary faces two committal warrants, with the first issued on October 26, 2023, in connection to allegations of corruption regarding a contract between the FTF and a former technical director. Jary had previously been interviewed on August 30, 2023, and was released at that time.
In today’s session, Jary is expected to be questioned on accusations related to the “misappropriation of public funds made available to him, concerning the characteristics of his position.”
