Tunisia-President Kais Saied general curfew should not be ruled out for COVID-19

The President of the Republic Kaïs Saïed chaired, this Monday, September 28, 2020, a security council at the palace of Carthage and indicated that a general curfew should not be ruled out in the event of an increase in the number of deaths and the spread of the coronavirus.

On the other hand, Kaïs Saïed called on citizens to rigorously respect the health protocol set up by the Ministries of Health, Interior and Environment.

He also said that the governors will now be able to announce sanitary lockdown at the regional or local level if necessary, with the coordination of the central authorities.
