Tunisia-President Kais Saied meets Algerian Prime Minister

President Kais Saied met Thursday evening at the Carthage Palace Algerian Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Ayman Ben Abderrahmane, who is visiting Tunisia at the head of a large ministerial delegation.

President Saied welcomed the “excellent” level reached by the “historic” relations between the two countries, stressing the need to open promising prospects for cooperation and integration, in accordance with a new vision.

Quoted in a statement of the Presidency, the Head of State conveyed to the Algerian Prime Minister and Minister of Finance his sincere greetings to “his brother” Abdelmadjid Tebboune, expressing hope to welcome him soon to Tunisia.

Kais Saied said he was confident the aspirations of the Tunisian and Algerian people will be fulfilled by working hand in hand.

For his part, the Algerian Prime Minister conveyed to the President of the Republic the greetings of President Tebboune, saying “Algeria hopes for a better future for the two brotherly peoples, and is certain that bilateral relations will experience a new momentum, according to a vision of development and integration. ”

The Algerian Prime Minister said his trip is part of the preparation of the visit of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to Tunisia.

He added: “Algeria always stands by Tunisia especially since it shares with it the same desire to develop cooperation and diversify its areas. ”
