Tunisia-President Kais Saied meets USAID Administrator Mark Green

President Kais Saied received United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Administrator Mark Green at Carthage presidential palace. The meeting falls within the scope of the USAID  project tracking in inland areas.

The head of the states emphasised that the frequency of visits between top officials of the two countries falls under the framework of Friendly and Long-standing historical relations between Tunisia and the United States, he further remarked the shared Liberty and democracy between the two nations.

The president of the republic also extended his appreciation to the USAID for the consistent care that they have given in the areas of education and health and their continuous support aimed at fighting poverty and their active role in youth employment.

On his part, Mark Green commended the democratic process in Tunisia which inspired the world through various phases since 2011.

He affirmed that his second visit in Tunisia since 2014 represented a chance to renew his country commitment to support the democratic experience in Tunisia, he highlighted his country engagement to support all efforts to revive economic mobility and create social and development conditions that sustain the Democratic system thus benefiting different segments of society.
