Tunisia-President Kais Saied receives Minister Defense

The President of the Republic, Kais Saied, welcomed the Minister of National Defense Mr Brahim Bartagi at Carthage presidential palace.

During the meeting, Mr Bartagi briefed the head of the state of the progress of the work of the different departments of the Ministry, in particular its role of assisting the Ministry of Health to fight the COVID-19 pandemic, including the recent establishment of a military field hospital in Kairouan in record time and which has begun taking care of Covid patients.

This meeting was likewise an occasion for the Minister of National Defense to present to Mr Saied on the progress of the ministry’s efforts in the field of military industrialization, as well as the preparations for the inauguration of a new intensive care unit at the Military Hospital of Tunis, and underway preparations for the commemoration of the 65th anniversary of the creation of the National Army.
