Tunisia-President Kais Saied talks with UNESCO chief Audrey Azoulay

President Kais Saied held a phone conversation with UNESCO  secretary general Audrey Azoulay.

The Head of State emphasised during the conversation that the Lockdown and closing of borders did not deter peoples from cooperating and assisting each other as it will not prevent in the future, this convergence of values and goals between different peoples from the world. A point of view which was shared by the UNESCO Director.

The initiative that Tunisia has presented to the Security Council was also reviewed in order for the work to be homogeneous and equal
at the global level since international peace and security are not entirely associated with armed conflicts but also to many other fields no less important, particularly health, education and culture.

On her part,Azoulay invited president Kaïs Saïed to pay a visit to Unesco headquarters in Paris when the COVID-19 pandemic ends.
