Among the statements made by President Kais Saied during the interview, he gave on the evening of Thursday, January 30, 2020, on EL Wataniya 1 was the construction of a Healthy city in Kairouan designated “The Aghlabids healthy city”. This hospital city will pull together all medical specialities and should be accessible to all Tunisian citizens.
The head of the state stressed that he is working to seek fundings in collaboration with The World Health Organization (WHO) and several donor countries to avoid loans.
He pointed out he choose Kairouan particularly Raqqada for it to be in close vicinity to southerners.
He affirmed that many have expressed their desire to finance the project under the condition that the supervision will be under the presidency of the republic.
