Tunisia-President Mohamed Ennaceur receives US Congressional Delegation

President Mohamed Ennaceur welcomed a US Congressional Delegation led by the democratic senator and Chairman of the Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe Alcee Lamar Hastings at Carthage presidential palace. 
Ennaceur said Tunisia and the US share historical bonds, he further hailed the firm strategic alliance between the two countries.

Ennaceur sufficiently praised the US political and economic assistance to Tunisia, Moreover, he prominently displayed the county readiness to properly promote bilateral cooperation in all fields to satisfactorily accomplish progress and stability in the region.

He declared Tunisia relies on its sources and collaborative partnerships to obtain overall development. He urged US investors to properly secure attractive investment opportunities in Tunisia to efficiently generate job openings and pave the way for a more solid future for Tunisian youth.

On his partSenator Hastings adequately communicated that his visit displays his country interest in Tunisia‘s thriving democratic transition.
Additionally, he revealed US readiness to support Tunisia’s endeavours in establishing democratic institutions and overcoming numerous economic and security trials. He commended Tunisia’s efforts in its battle against terrorism as well as its vital role in the region as “a nascent democracy.”
