Tunisia-Qalb Tounes calls on Hichem Mechichi to resume office

Qalb Tounes condemned the activation of article 80 of the Constitution by the President of the Republic Kais Saied. Calling this decision a grave breach of the Constitution, the party expressed its attachment to the rule of law, its institutions and the texts of the Constitution.

Qalb Tounes, therefore, called on MPs to organize an urgent meeting. He additionally called on former Prime Minister Hichem Mechichi to resume office in order to avoid the vacuum in the presidency of the government.
