Tunisia-Qatar intends to strengthen its investments in Tunisia

During his attendance at the 7th Summit of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) in Algeria, President Kaïs Saïed had a meeting with the Emir of Qatar, Tamim Ben Hamad Al-Thani. This encounter acted as a platform to examine and emphasize the need to enhance the cooperation between Tunisia and Qatar. The emphasis on strengthening bilateral relations was emphasised in a press release from the Presidency of the Republic.

The Emir of Qatar voiced his country’s ongoing support for Tunisia, especially in terms of bolstering the Tunisian economy through increased investments and the execution of development projects. Furthermore, he admitted and praised the growing number of Tunisian workers in Qatar for their role and efficiency, indicating a positive impact on the bilateral relationship in terms of labour and employment.
