House speaker Rached Ghannouchi welcomed Prime Minister Elyes Fakhfakh in Bardo palace.
The meeting took place soon before the commencement of the plenary session devoted to the review of the bill on the delegation of power to the PM to deal with the fallout of the coronavirus spread.
During the talk, the emphasis was placed on the importance of national unity in this challenging situation the nation is living through, due to the spread of the virus, and the necessity to promote co-operation between the various public institutions to guarantee the effectiveness of measures and decrease the effects of COVID-19 on the different sectors.
The meeting was held in the attendance of HPR deputy speakers Samira Chaouachi and Tarek Ftiti.
